SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Kathy Wong, Partner in BPM’s Corporate Tax Practice, has been recognized as a winner of CalCPA’s Women to Watch 2017.
CalCPA, in partnership with the AICPA and its Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, honors women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession and who demonstrate outstanding leadership.

With over fifteen years of public accounting experience, Kathy has played a pivotal role in BPM’s Tax Practice, providing support and leadership in areas of domestic and international tax planning and compliance for private clients. She is an active member of the Firm’s Real Estate Industry Group, attending events, speaking, and taking on initiatives regularly.
Since joining BPM over 10 years ago, Kathy has risen within the firm due to her outstanding leadership skills and exemplary client service. This past year, Kathy was welcomed to the Firm’s partnership, an honor she received not only for her technical expertise and commitment to her clients but also for the way she represents the Firm’s principles and serves as a role model for associates.

Women to Watch Awards
CalCPA, in partnership with the AICPA and its Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, is looking for women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession, or who demonstrate characteristics that enable them to become leaders in the profession. Both the nominees and winners will be featured in various publications and potentially asked to participate in local events as panel members to discuss the strategies for achieving success in the accounting profession.
Awards will be given in two categories – Experienced Leaders and Emerging Leaders. Winners will be selected by members of the Women’s Leadership Forum Planning Committee. All nominees will be invited to attend the Women’s Leadership Forum at South San Francisco Conference Center in Northern California on Friday, April 28, 2017, where the winners will be announced at the luncheon.
