SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bonitasoft, the number one growing business process management (BPM) solution provider, today announced its CEO and founder, Miguel Valdes Faura, has been named winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the “Maverick of the Year” category in the 10th Annual International Business Awards℠. The honor represents another milestone in a momentous year for BPM disruptor Bonitasoft, which recently rolled out Bonita BPM 6, the company’s biggest platform upgrade in three years, and announced a Series C funding of $13 million.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2013 IBAs received entries from more than 50 nations and territories. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain, on Oct. 14. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
“This incredible distinction from the International Business Awards adds to several major milestones that Bonitasoft worked hard to achieve in 2013,” said Valdes Faura. “While I’m honored to be personally recognized, the effort and dedication of the Bonitasoft family and the open source community has been the true driver of success for the company.”
The new Bonita BPM 6 enables business users and IT professionals to utilize an advanced set of BPM tools to enhance collaboration, drive end-user efficiency and improve processes quickly. New features include a completely redesigned portal that helps users complete process tasks quickly and accurately, mobile access, and improved business activity monitoring. The new version also includes a next-generation execution engine that is four times faster than previous versions. Bonitasoft’s funding is fueling its global expansion plans in the USA, Europe and Latin America.
